Adam Andrzejewski from IBG Models sent us info on the company's latest 1/35 scale kit. C15A is still in progress, but getting closer to the release.

Is that kit a prototype or a joke? Seriously, the very old Peerless-Max/Tomy/Airfix/Italeri-Testors offering is far more accurate, better detailed and good-looking in general. Really annoyed...

I'm not an expert and I would not like to get into any accuracy issues, but your first post on Armorama is pretty much strange. If you think there are some problems with accuracy of this model, please feel free to point them out in a civilized manner.

Sorry if my comment sounds rude, but is really surprising with the amount of CMP Cab 13 survivors around and the many references available (complete walkarounds online, books published on the matter, forums devoted to the type and even original handbooks still available), that the general proportions, shape and detail seems are so poor. Just compare the lights, wheels, cab or body with any of the real ones on the net. More surprising when IBG has made some nice kits before.

My first thought when I saw your lead photo was that the cloth top just seems too perfect, too spit and polish. It almost gives the impression of being made out of framed up sheet metal rather than canvas.
I have always thought that the old Peerless Max offering had a very realistic representation of the canvas top with all its' slight surface variations and hints of the bows behind the canvas. Admittedly however the molding of the top itself was overly thick.
Sorry

Hmm, its not like the old CMP kit is hard to find either. Would have preferred IBG to do something *not* out there, like a Bofors Gun Tractor, or 6x6 etc etc. yeah, I'm now one those complainers, haha.

Ditto Davidson's comment above. The 6x6 would have been great - it's not too late!
Very sorry. I appreciate your efforts but perhaps they should have been spent moving in a different direction.

Looking at the photos below it does seem that the proportions of the kit windows and hood/bonnet are off compared to the real thing.
If the overall height of the cab is reasonable good, then the windows seem significantly too big and the hood/bonnet seems way too short.
Thoughts?
