Hello there,
This may be a little basic as a question but my knowledge of M4 variants is limited.
What would be the best base kit for this vehicle, "Strasbourg"', from 5ème RCA, 1ère DB:
A friend of mine's grandfather was in this tank.
I'd like to make sure I have everything I need before I start on it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Sean
According to Chars-francais.net, "Strasbourg" was a M4A2 :
http://www.chars-francais.net/2015/index.php/classement-individuel/m-4-sherman?task=view&id=1080
(just to narrow your kit search )
Here are two links that may help with French A2's :

DML's M4A2 "Tarawa" kit, #6062, provides the correct "Fischer" built hull with the welded hoods as does their Sherman III "Sicily" kit #6231.
I'd stick with #6062 as it has the correct fenders in the box. #6231 has the full sand shields which are not needed.
