Well, after having my original idea for a Flak 38 gunpit die (FLAK 38 was destroyed while cleaning up basement ), i had decided to whip up my Tamiya 8.0 cm mortar and crew for it. After many problems with paint and not having any time, here is what i have pretty much done.

I am hoping tohave it completed this weekend.

petro, that sucks that your flak38 busted. i saw the pics and maybe you could make a destoyed one with the wreckage? on a more positive note, your dio looks really good. the grass and sandbags look well done and the figures are nicely detailed as well. the flag looks really natural, i like it a lot. i wish it wouldve turned out as you originally planned, but this looks good anyway!

its a pitty you did nt make it but you have to finish up the dio. some nitpicks to help out. Your gigure painting seems a lil glossy, if its not the pictures try to tone down with some dull coat and pastelsThe sanbags painting in two colours seems a lil strange and you could also try to weather them a lil more with dirt and washes. the trench is nice and i think you must give it alil try to complete it

You just whipped this up?? It looks pretty good to me. The flag is well done (conforms nicely to the pit wall), and so is the pit and groundwork. From what I can see of the faces they are very well done, and seem to have a little character to them! The firing pit is braced up with logs? That is a nice touch. Hope to see it finished and in the cover-up gallery.

It will be finished, but i don't know if it will be in the cover up gallery.

I only did this because a bunch of people had said they all wouldn't typically be 1 color.
Well, it adds to the color palette of the whole layout anyways.
