This is a pretty interesting blog.

They have some pretty in depth evaluations of Soviet tanks and APC's (just added the T-80 a few days ago). Seems to be relatively unbiased. Thought it may be of interest to some of you.

Yeah, I really enjoy this blog. Love the level of detail they go into on their subjects. Just wish they did more than one article every two months!

One thing it does is to give me new respect for Russian / Soviet tank designs. You see a lot of slagging on this site and others that these tanks were "crap". In reality, they had some cutting edge features (along with some obvious shortcomings). It's fascinating to see how they charted such a different course than NATO designs.

They just updated it, latest subject to get the in-depth treatment is the BMP-2. Reinforces my opinion that this track was highly under-rated. For it's intended role, it's a pretty darned good IFV.

I just scaned their T-72 section... the author seems cant identify which is T-72A and which is T-72M/M1 in his photo description.....photos are good...but wrong description of them could be lethal...
