The Soviet tank VISMOD is terrific...what is the vehicle it is build on?

Is the Saladin a German Border Police version?

the VISMOD is a Panzerattrappe based on UNIMOG S404. And yes, the Saladin is from Bundesgrenzschutz BGS.

The Panzeratrappe is excellent!

The Border Guard Saladin is terrific. I am very tempted to pick up the Mr. Models Saladin Bundesgrenzschutz BGS conversion.

What a great set of pictures. My dad was actually stationed with the 2nd ACR (back when it was part of the Constabulary!) and was at Pond Barracks in Amberg! The year was 1952! He had previously been stationed in Augsburg, and as a result, I wound up being born in Munich.

We returned for a second tour from 1962 - 1965 (Goeppingen and then Neu Ulm) and then as a Lieutenant, I was stationed in Baumholder from 1972-1977.
