As seen at another site, http://www.cybermodeler.com/special/kit_armor_scale.shtml, kit number 0931; I'd really like to to see this as a true kit, not like the M-ATV toy kit recently released and the subject of a build log here.
Now, who could do a crew to accompany such a vehicle, where the figures can be used on a, say, 1/16 M1? I wonder.
thanks Trumpeter,
Kylie

Alpine miniatures has a marine figure in 1/16 scale, which I have and is a very nice figure.. maybe it can be converted to fit these vehicles
Also, Airborne Miniatures has some 1/16 scale modern US figures... But I guess it would be nice to have a dedicated set of figures for these vehicles

From what I understand, The Trumpeter 1/16 MATV is a model kit, but the Merit International offering is the toy.
Incidentally, from the pic I saw of the Trumpy 1/16 Maxx Pro, it looks like the earliest version, the M1224.

Hi Patrick
The Trumpeter 1/16 MATV is a model kit of the TOY that Merit has out, I wouldn't be surprised if they are the same molds.
In other words a toy you have to put together.
I am the one doing the Build Blog here, so I know first hand.
It's not bad, and has a lot of potential for improvement if you want to do a lot of scratch building.
Would I buy this kit again? NO NO NO .
The new one that they have coming out is probably a continuation of this one.

I figured as much Don and you're probably right they both come from the same Molds; to a certain extent at least.
