I may be wrong but I think that the designation "S 330" was used before and during WWII and that the truck was called S 3000 in 1949.
Nice to get a model of this truck all the same (never mind the deisgnation)

Nope, the opposite: it was KHD S3000 originally and Magirus S330 later.

Mercedes L3000S was a completely different truck.

I'm not sure about that, Pawel. This manual was published in 1940 (according to the seller ) :

Can't agree here. The Ulm-based company was ever KHD and their vehicles were ever marketed with the brand name Magirus.
Also, the models in concern were S330 and A330 first; later, due to the unification under the Schell programm, they were redesignated S3000 and A3000, or L3000A and L3000S (where L is for Lastwagen).

Okay, I checked some references and I believe that S3000 and A3000 were military versions (i.e. standardized according to Schell program requirements) and S330/A330 were civilian

I don't think the L3000S designation was ever used for KHD truck. They were S3000 or 3000S. L3000S was a Daimler Benz designation for their Schell program Mercedes truck.
B3000S was Borgward, V3000S was Ford and E3000 was MAN - all 3 ton trucks under the Schell program.

There is a German military document D 666/8 dated 28 January 1943 which oficially changed the designation of 330 model to "Lastkraftwagen 3-to Magirus Baumuster Klöckner S3000/A3000".
Talking about that L3000S/A I'm ready to agree it probably wasn't applicable with Magirus, I may fall victim of some incorrect reference. This doesn't change the suspicious cab shape anyway. Not to speak in 1949 the 330 models didn't exist from long time but tell this to ICM.
Cheers!

The designations are confusing but I think that the 4 digit designations were used also after the war. The designation S330 seems to have been dropped during the war.
The webpage (linked above) claims that the trucks produced in 1948 (also 1949 ???) were very similar to the wartime trucks and that the cabin was changed 1951. I am not certain about when the one piece windshield appeared ( or if it was a divided windshield only in the years immediately after the war ??)
That radiator cap looks like it was inherited from the wartime trucks ....

Probably according to ICM a postwar truck with air-cooled engine looks more sexy with radiator cap...
