I received the Hobby Boss Kit # 82425 M4A1 Pershing Heavy Tank for Christmas and I am having trouble removing the mold seam from the rubber tracks included with the model. I tried sanding.Didn't work. I tried placing in freezer for a few hours. Didn't work.

Anyone out there have a suggestion.

Seams on rubber band tracks are notoriously difficult to deal with. Depending on how thick and raised they are, you might try painting them with liquid cement, gently brushing until the seam is dissolved. You want just enough liquid on your brush to wet it but not so much that it flows onto the surrounding detail, almost like dry brushing. Good luck.

Unless the single piece tracks are magic track (the kind that can be glued together) brushing them with cement shouldn't have any effect at all. The cements are for polystyrene (and ABS in some cases) and the tracks are vinyl or variations thereof, and are not normally attacked by the same solvent. Which is why we are normally told to heat rivet the tracks together and not glue them.
