If you get a chance get ahold of issue 29 of Military Minatures In Review. Superb construction articles and lots of photos of new kits coming out. The article that attracted my attention is that detailed the construction of the Jaguar M551 Vietnam style. I could not believe that a human being actually completed that monster kit. It is the worse that I ever attempted to build. It is also one of the costliest ones. Regardless, the article is well-written. I commend it to you.

I liked the article on the AA Ward La France wrecker. I plan on getting one of these as soon as I can save up( $250.00 US). Anyone have the TM for this puppie.

Shiryon---did you read the article on the M-8? Great workmanship. If you are into wreckers, etc. tell me how you paint the cables to replicate the real ones...
thanks

The La France, are you talking about the same vehicle that was almost always teamed up with the Dragon Wagon?

If you need good doc on this wrecker, try this one:
" US Army Heavy Wreckers of WW2, 6-ton 6x6 Ward LaFrance & Kenworth M1 / M1A1 ", by Jochen Vollert and Michael Franz - Tankograd West - Military Vehicle Series # 1001, from Tankograd Publishing, Ullitzstrasse 11, 95183 TROGEN, Germany......
An incredible cheap ( here, at least ! ) 40 pages book, full of extracts from TMs, detailled photo coverage of the truck and the wrecker features, technical data, and A LOT of photos of restored and WW2 vehicles.....The VERY best book on this beast ( for me, at least ! )
I bought it and start prayin' my small Tamiya-san statuette, singin' incantations, and burnin incenses sticks.....! #:-)
' ve a nice day...!

Jeff--may I suggest the subscription route. Cuts the price down substantially and you never miss an edition. Other than FSM, this is one of the finest armor modeling magazines I have ever seen.
