I bought brand new Miniart´s T-44... It is a very nice tank and very nice kit... I flirted with What if "Beute Panzer" (decals are included) or with Czechoslovak T-44 from 1st. Independent Armored Brigade in USSR (under command of later Czechoslovak President gen. Ludvik Svoboda)- but reality is better as What if - and in decals are two machines from Hungary 1956... It is a sad story of Hungarian revolution, but very unusual... I have in my stack a very nice set of Soviet tank riders (Tank Desant) from DML - this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51-do89Di1L.jpg - can i used it for Hungary 1956 of in mid fifties have Red Army new gear (uniform) ? It is still a idea for small diorama...Thank you !

I'd think that they would be armed with AK's by then.

Their standard uniform hadn't changed much from the late WW2 versions by the mid 1950s but their load gear had in accordance with being issued the AK-47, as Greg pointed out.
