Deal all, as a newbie modeller myself I have found it quite difficult to paint 1/35 figures in good standard (by good I mean looks appeal in general distance, but not professional level) especially dealing with the figures face. I have been doing OK with AFV painting but feel that figure paintings require more level of understanding of Art. (Unfortunately I am not particular good at Art) May I ask are that any On-line instruction sites that I could get helped from? I really would like to see step by step on figure painting procedures by pro, that would be really helpful for me, Thank you!

There's a few videos on You Tube of figure painting. Some are crap but some are very good so it's just a case of working through them for the one that you find useful. I have to admit following the videos is a lot easier rather than photos as you can see the techniques better.

I'm glad I helped and i hope you enjoy the book like i have enjoyed!

The book of Cartacci is good becose is tecnique is not just on oils or just Acrilycs but a mix of both depend on what do you want to do, but also if focused on Acrilycs the 2 books of Aleks Michelotti is really good specially for beginners becose explains the theory of colors, shadow, different scale etc..

i find also here some review of Auriga books...
