What's with companies like Revell, Italeri, Zvezda, Hat, etc, etc, still producing 1/72 figure sets in soft plastic? Don't they know by now - didn't anyone ever tell them - that soft plastic is the worst material for making figures? They (the figures) are extremely difficult to impossible to: clean up and trim when they have excessive flash; glue when making conversions; and paint because even primer will flake off. And soft plastic gives you soft details.
Would it hurt them to cast the same figures in styrene? I'm sure that some of these 20 - 30 yr old moulds have made the companies enough money to switch to styrene.
