My M12 GMC was wrecked when my modelling shelf fell down. I'm lucky enough to have another in the stash, so I've decided to turn the wreck into an M30 Ammo Carrier.
Does anyone have any good plans or drawings of the M30? I've found Marcos Serra's page on his conversion, which is excellent, but you can never get enough reference material!

F.Y.I. Commander Models makes a rather nice looking ($50 USD) resin conversion for the M30.

Thanks Michael, but converting the M12 to an M30 doesn't look too difficult, so I thought I'd try doing a bit of scratch converting. I'd like to better my modelling skills. The pics are a good reference though!

Somehow I knew that would be your approach. I figured the Commander photos might also offer some needed reference.

Go for it!

Merci Beaucoup Henri Pierre

1/48th to 1/35th is 131.1% enlargement, most modern printers can cope with that 5age work now.

I realise now I have this Bradford Book, he covers a lot of tanks & versions, but please exercise caution, as some of his assumptions and dimensions are 'off'.

Not a deal breaker, but always get as many refs & drawings as possible & check dimensions

Hi John,

This is probably the best source on info for converting to the M30. Once you get past the weird pattern of how to access the pictures, everything you need to make the conversion is there:

http://www.militarymodelling.com/news/article/bunker-buster/4115

The toughest part I had with our conversion is getting the air cleaners right. The M12 kit has the late cleaners, and all the M30's had the early ones.
