Here is my Tiger Tank from the movie "Kelly's Heroes," one of my all time favorite movies.
I built it using a T-34 hull from Dragon and the resin conversion rom RZM Productions. This was the one that used to be listed in Fine Scale Modeler. If I had it to do over again I would just kit bash it using an Tiger and a T-34.

It is a great rendition of the T(Tiger) 34 in Kelley's Heros!

Really nice work! I remember the Ad for the Tiger tank conversion in the old FSM magazines.
I always wondered if anyone ever purchased one...and you did!

The RZM Productions conversion kit tried to replicate all of the different T-34 Tigers used in movies: “Kelly’s Heroes.” “Saving Pvt Ryan,” “Uprising,” etc. but the movie Tigers were all different from each other, and the kit just ended up not being all that accurate for any one of them.
I ended up rebuilding the entire front end of the hull, making it shorter and blunter. The driver’s viewport and the bow machinegun had to be moved closer together (to match the openings of the T-34 underneath it). On the turret, the TC’s and loaders hatches had to moved more to the center of the turret, again to match up with the T-34. I also hollowed out the hull and turret castings, which had been made solid. I also made the main gun movable.
The casting on this was not very good. The hull and turret were more like a “foam” than a solid resin. Most of the smaller parts (smoke grenade launchers, feifel air cleaners, hatches, pistol port) were too messed up to use, I replaced them with items out of the parts box.
The font and style of the turret numbers did not match any decals that I could find. I ended up taking a screen shot from the movie, enlarging it to the proper size, printing it, and using it as a stencil to paint the numbers.
Here are a couple more photos of the upper surfaces of the tank, showing the weathering and dirt effects on it.

Maybe we could do a deal with them, maybe they're republicans!
