Hi guys,

Soon I'm starting to make a model of the mentioned M113 above.
I was wondering if such a prototype would have carried any markings or was it just blank ?
I mean markings, such as vehicle registration or a test unit markings ?

TIA !!

Are you working with the Verlinden kit?

Hi Paul,

Yes, it's the old Verlinden nr.501 kit.

Gé,

I'll dig through some books. I swear I've seen it somewhere besides the Canadian M113 TLAV that has it. Also called UGWS turret. Up Gunned Weapon Systems.

Gé,

I haven't found anything. Wouldn't be the first time.

Some M113 trial vehicles have what look like waterline markers on the side. Usually have white star on side and some number designator.

Didn't SQUADRON, at one time or another, feature the M113 as one of the subjects in their "In Action"-series of books?

Hi guys,

My intention is to do the following:

left frontside: TEXCOM ( Test and Experimental Command )
right frontside: USAYPG ( US Army Yuma Proving Ground )

MERDC-color

Both sides: M113/AV-30 test 2, serial number, star.
