Are these figures usable with late Col War vehicles circa 1983-89 or are they post Cold War only?

As far as I can see they would need work on the pockets- I think most of the pockets as they are would have to go and then new flaps in the older shape that was in use in the 80s would need to be moulded on.

I think they have the same uniforms as their earlier Chechen War tankers.I may be mistaken but this is what I see. This looks like a very useful set. I like the figure that is walking with h tank shells.

Should remove arm pockets as well, it seems. Also, some pockets would need to be changed, as you point out
