I have a M48 with sandbag armour upgrade, Im adding Verlinden tank crew. My question is what would the commanders rank level be? (Buck Sargent or staff) and also what would the gunner hold, I figured specialist but what level?

E-5 (Spec-5 or Buck Sgt.) up. The #1 tank a Lt., the #4 tank a E-6 or 7.

Normally a Tank commander is an E5 to E7, a Gunner is an E4-E5.
I have seen a Corporal as a tank Commander if his act was together and you were short of personal. In Desert Storm an E7 I knew had a PFC for a gunner because he has 20-15 vision and could see things the rest of us couldn't see.
