The figures' boots in this kit are a buckle-type (presumably rubber) that I've seen in a few photographs and no illustrations. Are they rubber or rubber and leather, and if so, what color are they supposed to be?

I think they're a darkish, grayish-brown, if these are the galoshes type with buckle fasteners down the front. If these are the late war boots with just two buckle fasteners at the top side, then they should be brown, with the top section where the buckles are, a reddish-brown. When in doubt just add a lot of mud!

Thanks. The set has them down the front.

Hi Tom,
There where 2 types of "Mickey Mouse" overshoes with buckles
for ground combat troops.
One type was completely rubber, there other part rubber part
cloth.
Both were black.
Here is a link to photos of the different boots issued to
US troops in WW2.

Looking at the kit closely, #10 and #11 on the bottom matches the kit boots. Thanks so much!
