It was just a technology demonstrator. The XM813 30mm turret was demonstrated by the manufacturer in spring/summer '14, but has not been bought by the US Army at this time. No telling if it will be either. Most likely not since the current 25mm Bushmaster turreted Bradley has no real issues.

I had been under the impression that the Stryker version was going to be purchased and fielded - is that not so?

There's some distinct grumblings that there's going to be a 30 MM armed Stryker. This much is pretty likely, but to the best of my knowledge there has been no official announcement as to type or design.

At this time the Bradley will almost certainly retain its current turret until retirement with continued modifications to stay relevant.
