Anyone know if the Aussie Centurion "P***y Eater" has it's front renders removed and it's smoke grenade launchers removed?? I found a picture of the back showing the rear fenders cut back but I haven't seen any front pictures that I can identify.

Hi Jason

According to what I've found, this Centurion (ARN 169039) was originally called "Cromwell" and its callsign was "2". In May 1971, its name was changed and its callsign became "3C". Here's a period picture of "Cromwell" :

It also appears in this footage :

Missing smoke grenade launchers, and cut-off front fenders...

On a side note, this book is a must-have for Australian Cents in Vietnam :

"Cromwell" C/S 2 was ARN 169039's last name prior to leaving SVN.
2 troop, C Sqn 1 Armd Reg.
Tour date Dec 1970- Sept 1971.
CROMWELL Nui Dat, South Vietnam. August 1971 ARN169039.

Ok, now it's getting hard to work out.
Call sign 3C, must have been at some stage part of 3 Troop. But must have changed Troops at some stage late 1970, early 1971 to 2 Troop, hence the new call sign remaining on the car until the end. Not uncommon.
Now, this could have happened in the transitional period when A Sqn was replaced by C Sqn in Dec 1970. Call signs would have changed as cars were rotated out for maintenance etc.
Anyway, she is a hard car to find sporting that name. But by mid 69 most if not all of the Cents had all of the local mods done.
As can be read here.

But the biggest problem could be, that "PUSSY EATER" may not even be ARN 169039. Hopefully someone else with better knowledge can chime in.
