Hi all, I sent a msg to Jim regard my wilingness to create a system of rank markings so that in addition to the American, Dutch and Belgian ranks, we could have British/Commonwealth as well as Russian/Soviet. Here is an example:
This is a collar tab for a Soviet Army Junior Sergeant of Armour 1940-43. When I have more time, I'll try to post some more. In the meantime let me know what you think.
Nemanja.

i agree,
we definately need british/commonwealth ranks, looking at the site statistics, arent we brits the second largest nationality on this site?
i think it would propably be better to have WW2 ranks, as members from commonwealth nations could also use them if they wanted, and its less work for jim to create all the modern ones
russian ranks would be nice too
cheers

Well guys, I have a nice, thick book on WWII Insignias. It has SS, Wehrmacht, US, British, Canadian, Commonwealth, all kinds of Air Force, Navy, and Tank. If I can figure my scanner out, I send you guys a picture or two.

Looks good. Try to keep them withing the 45-50 pixel wide level of the current rank images and they should work well.
I am still not certain how we can do the British WWII ranks as there are no where near the same number of them. But I can always just adjust the rank intervals I guess.
Thanks!
Jim

Hi trdnfigrhead. Great work on those ranks. The stiching detail on the British ranks looks brilliant. I have no real desire to have the ranks from any particular nation.. but I do like the ranking system. How about an Armorama rank ...... totally unique to this site? Something like the target in the heading with different combinations of markings. Just an idea!
