i have a dragon stug f/8 early italy kit(dr6620)
but something strange about this kit is
this kit has mg shield on top .
as i know early f/8 didnt had mg shield at least it was just produced. it seems this kit depicts stug f/8 that is retropited/converted version.
but what i want to make is not retropited version but
very typical early productionstug f/8 for fall of 1942 easternfront.
if i want to make "typical" early f/8,
what can i do for this kit?
just make it without mg shied and then it is what i want?
or do something more?

G'day James
One point to note with the early F8s was that a lot of them were intended for North Africa (and four actually made it there) so they were painted in desert yellow rather than panzer grey. However, the Axis collapse in North Africa meant that most of the desert yellow F8s never got there.
Why is this important? Because dunkelgelb (dark yellow) wasn't in common use until some months AFTER the introduction of the F8, so it is quite possible that an early F8 would have been desert yellow in amongst other Stugs which were panzer grey.
Have fun.
Regards
Rob
