Hi all, I know this has been covered before but I cant find the post tried the search bar no luck.What colour were they I know its red and black but I cant remember if the top is red or the bottom red.getting old and confused. appreciate any help.

Actually, just the upper left was red. The lower left and both top and bottom on the right side are dark slits as part of the blackout drive light system.
M60 tank, but same light setup.

That's a detail a lot of people miss. Most all the tail lights of these old style are like this. Until they went to using the large composite lights (like the ones that are obvious on the Humvee) there was only one actual brake light. I drove an old 1967 M151 in high school and almost got rear ended several times because other drivers were watching for the right hand brake light. I finally upgraded to an M151 A2 that had the larger more modern lights and turn signals.
