Can anyone please explain to me what a filter is as far as using paint for a filter? I've read where people use a filter over their piant job. Is this used to blend the colors together evenly and how do i go about using it in my airbrush, Do I thin it alot or a little and what colors would you recommend for a tri-color scheme, also is this sprayed at a distance with a light coat. Thanks for the help, Wingman out.

A filter is really only a very thin wash ...you can use almost any color you want to change the tint ...I ve seen people use blue and red but I'm to chicken to try that on a kit that I've been working on for a couple of months but I do uses filters like olive green and biege colors and it really does work ...I use 95% thinner and 5% paint ..I use a flat brush (quite big )and just let the filter flow over the kit .try it ..you'll like it .

Hello wingman
On the following website you will find a great article about a filter.

there are also articles about rain marks, washing and chipped paint.
I hope this helps you.
