Hello,
I am building a M925 and I am dire need of the winch details. For some reason I think Italeri probably might have over simplified this aspect of the kit. Don't get me wrong I like to scratchbuild and do a little research here and there. I am just thankful Italeri releases some of the kits they do, or there wouldn't be a M925. But, like I said I am in need of details of the winch in general and the routing of the hydraulic lines used to power the winch. I have some decent shots of the hydraulic reserve tank located on the passenger's side just foward of the back axles. That I found here on the site. I looked through all Major Rob's Motor Pool and couldn't locate anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should be the same winch as on the front of the M936, but I'm not 100% sure. I will check tomorrow and see if I do have a 5 ton with winch (besides a 936).

Hello Sabot,
Many thanks for the help on the winch. The roller/pulley assembly on top of the winch assembly is the biggest mystery of all to me on the winch. I know that looking at what few pictures I have found of this part of the winch the Italeri piece is very underscale and simplified. Anyhow, I really appreciate the the help with the winch.

Here are a few pictures of winch (most of wrecker truck - the winch is the same as in M925.) The vice visible on the picture is however wrecker specific part.

In short - yes. The nice picture Pawel provided is the Winch with Level-Wind attachment. This is removable, so you can model both correctly.

Guys,
I really appreciate the help. I think I may go with the winch without the roller assembly mounted on the top. Now I have to find some decent pictures of the hrdraulic drive on the passenger side of the winch. Seems that Italeri left that piece off.
