No Flakpanzer Gepard ever had sidskirts.
CAD Images mean nothing.

You mean German ones? A google search seems to give me many photos with gepards with side skirts.

I personally never saw any Bundeswehr Gepards with sideskirts. The vehicle painted in a Cheetah livery probably borrowed the skirts from a Dutch tank.

When two companies plan to release the Gepard (I personally don`t believe in a HB release). we can build the A1 from one company and the A2 from another. It will be another decision of my wallet.

Four out of these eight photos are Dutch Cheetahs, not gepard. They DID have skirts. Two of the true Gepard photos are factory photos of early versions (the awful Photoshopped one and the BW one) and they were soon removed after delivery. The other two photos are unusual exceptions. MOST Bundeswehr Gepard NEVER wore skirts in service. It doesn't really matter anyway - just leave the things off.

It's probably a very nice kit so a great release, but i dont understand me on the model companys that release the same things all the time, if one company show one kit then all other come after and show the same kit.. I just wounder how all companys get the idea at the same time that now we shall do this kit...
So please do something instead that no other company have done ... ( i know it take a long time to do the kits but..)
Give us the Leopard arv versions instead for example...
But some are happy for this kit, so that's nice then, well done Meng..
I know some think, dont buy it then.. Yes i know that and will not do it...

No, only Brazil have them, was tested but not put in service by the Chilean Army
I like Takom and Meng, plus probably Hobbyboss compete to bring us a new Gepard. But I agree that Bergepanzer and Pionierpanzer versions are going to be very welcome by the market.
I'll buy (my credit card now it's shivering) one of those after they're released.
Cheers

Just goes to show the power of fact-checking. I'm not familiar with Gepards, or any other Bundeswehr vehicles, so I just search for Gepard on google and what I saw with side skirts I put up. But like I said, no need to fret over the skirts as they will most likely be optional.

Love that digi camo scheme in the first picture, Mikey! Also like the look of the big tackle box and bustle rack (field expedient??) on the rear hull, too. Remember building the Tamiya kit and the original Marder MICV many moons ago! Are these vehicles still in service?? Thanks, all!!

In the Takom kit, it shows the side skirts as an option. I'm sure it'll be the same way here.

The real question here, is if they managed to fix the inaccurate wheels from their previous Leopard 1 chassis kits or not.

You are right ...... Without the correct spacing useless
First glance I would go for the MENG but I shall wait to get a comparison
Waited soooooo long so a few months won't hurt to get it right ......
