I used the photo etch from Voyager, but cut the frames lose from the periscopes, painted them and and glued a plastic film colored with a permanent marker pen on the backside of the frames.

John, It is a VERY nice effect for a prominent visual feature that is missing from many skilled builds. I did not know the Voyager set included scopes. I will have to keep an eye out for it.
