Hurray!!!
They've finally ventured into the niche. A new StuG without DS tracks and with metal barrel...Wow! Let's hope for dimensionally accurate and ever growing family of vehicles of the type. Hey Dragon, now it's your turn, how will you response?

Gary: Bronco Models has a record of providing models that test the modeller due to how small some parts are, I have also come up against that issue. That said Bronco are I believe aiming at the more advanced modellers who have the skills to manage these needs.

Darren,
Thanks for an answer to my curiosity. I haven't experienced a Bronco kit before.

Thanks, Darren! This new kit should be a boon to early StuG. fans! Given my personal experience with BRONCO kits, this one should be very popular with more advanced modellers of WWII German armor...
It's on my "list"...

IF anything, DRAGON would probably respond with a re-pop of their older kit, which would "include" their now infamously unwanted "NEW!" retrograde "attractions", i.e: "DS" Tracks, minimal "Clear" parts & PE, and as an extra added feature, NO metal Barrel..! THAT, I could pass up very easily...

Two things: on another website the kit is to be released "February 2016", that's clearly passed, so I hope the release is soon; &, can this be used as a StuG in Africa?

Thanks, Wayneo. I did read some where that there was an effort to mount the 15cm sIG in a StuG, too. Anyone know about this, please? Also, there

Hey, Matt! You know, I think that there are other manufacturers that are bent on driving nails into DRAGON's coffin, as well. Sad... DRAGON USED TO BE a really great model manufacturer; but they only have themselves to blame, not that they give much of a damn, anyway- They seem to be concentrating their priorities in the vastly more profitable Toy Market...

Might you possibly be thinking of the StuH.42, which which mounted a 10.5cm light howitzer, not a sIG.33 15cm gun? (DRAGON makes this- I don't have a kit # handy at the moment)
The sIG.33 WAS mounted in a Pz.III Chassis as an Assault Gun- sIG.33 auf Fgst.Pz.III (Sfl.), which DRAGON makes as kit# 6713. As to a sIG.33 being mounted in a proper StuG.III, I don't remember ever seeing one...
