As the final touch to my home remodel, a friend and I assembled these four Ikea Regissor cabinets with LED lighting this past weekend. My delicate models finally have the proper place to live! Time to get back to work to fill them up; thinking the Hobby Boss M1070 would fill up a shelf quite nicely!!

Excellent looking wall set up.

I'm still looking for cases, can you tell me what the internal height of the two "bays" in one of the cases? I mean what is the max display height between the top of the fixed bottom to the bottom of the fixed center shelf; and if different, the height between the top of the fixed center shelf to the bottom of the fixed case top? thanks

Wow. Looks great Bill. I recognize the BayCon trophies behind the models! Nice touch.

Very cool! I have three cases (think ones you would find at a jewelry counter) that work real nice. Plenty of room. I would post a picture but I cannot figure out how to do it on this site to save my life. Anyway your room looks awesome. I am going to look into these cabinets because I may have room for one. Thanks for sharing.

Carl, we used Dioder lights, four per set, two per shelf, about $250 worth of Dioder. They were easy to work with and wire. The two sided tape provided was inadequate and we ended up gluing them with silicone along with the tape.

Looks like a great case for vehicles, but not so much for aircraft of large size, like 2- or 4-engine bombers in 1/32.

Guess I will still need to come up with a plan for my B-17G.

Shell, it will take 1/32 fighters all day; for example Tamiya 1/32 Phantom will fit, no problem. For others that have asked shelf depth is 13.5", total depth 15".
As for your B-17, I have several suggestions. First, you could leave out the shelves and mount it against the back wall, might have to be diagonal but pretty sure it would fit. Better option would be building an addition to your house with built in lit, climate controlled shelving. Assuming that someone, someday, is going to do a 1/32 B29, I would measure for that so you'd be sure to have room. Just pray they don't do a 1/32 B-36, or then you'll be SOL.

I was asking for the internal bay height between the fixed surfaces if you don't mind getting that measurement?
