Hi all
This is the US Armored Dozer from MiniArt. I did a review and a feature earlier on this kit, and now I've fitted it in a small vignette. I was actually just going to depict it moving rubble, but then this idea came to life, and I really think it's much more fun.
A full article can be found in the May issue of the SMMI.

One of the best ideas I've seen in a while. Original and don't ask me why: Funny.

Looks good, came across a story an another website today. Almost fits it to a tee.
"My grandfather had a construction company and dad knew his way around heavy equipment, so when he was stationed in Germany to help with the reconstruction they put him on the bulldozer. One day he ran over a five hundred bomb that had been dropped but didn't detonate. That wasn't incredibly unusual, there were millions of pounds of bombs dropped in Europe during the war....some didn't explode. He said the bomb squad boys took it a few miles away from camp and detonated it. "

This story is still going on in Germany where millions of pounds of ordnance was dropped during the war. When I was a Battalion Commander in Hanau in 1995, we had to stop operations for a day while a German Bundeswher EOD team defused and removed a 500lb bomb from a busy street intersection near one of our Kasernes. A German construction crew excavator had unearthed it about 15ft below the road surface while installing new water lines-- their reaction was just the same as the guy in the diorama!

Yes, these things still happens. Seems like such bombs are also found in London from time to time. Luckily these things haven't blown up by them selves yet.
