In a rather surprising announcement, Hobby Boss is releasing the first produced Soviet tank. This light tank is based on the Renault FT and based on the kit sprues and such looks to be out before too much longer.

YES! Very exciting news...it's about time! I'll pick one up without a doubt. I've always loved the awkward look of this tank. It'll look cool sitting next to a couple of Renault FT's.
I tried to build the old AER kit about 15 years ago, and failed miserably. It's the only kit I ever gave up on. It's been sitting under my bed ever since...in the box...mocking me. But revenge is MINE! Ah-hahahaha!!!
So...any manufacturers interested in doing a Fiat 3000? The tracks on the Tauro kit almost broke me...

Not the first produced Soviet tank, actually. The Soviets produced 14 direct copies of the FT [captured from White forces] during the civil war.

This was announced about a year ago but it's great to see the sprues. Look forward to getting this cool little tank!
