Almost out of nowhere ‪Zvezda‬ brings new (actually old) Gaz Tigr. It's not detailed as the Xact one and obviously is supposed to go head to head with Meng. I just hope that the modular approach will give us more versions, including Tigr-M. Seen at www.scalemodels.ru

News item at Euromodels that doesn't depend on Facebook ;-)

6th sense。。could be。。。
Personally....xact did the top job on it. There we go the standard....so...we have xact as high level...and let use see who can win in the low level....as far as we know there are several mistake on Meng model such as main engine cover shape, side window hinge and the too-long turning light which made it come out of the frame. And zvezda tire doesn't looks good too.....btw...did they made the suspense too low?
But from another point of view...seems Russian friends are not only focuse on release the little green men figure they released...the van is needed too! For the domestic market.. Yup..that is the point..domestic market.

Zvezda has one trump card: the price!
We now can expect Armata and other announcements.

You really think the Zvezda release is going to be anyway comparable to the Meng considering the 2 companies track records?

A version with ATGM "Komet" appears to be coming.
В последующем планируется выпуск машины с ПТРК "Корнет"

The Kornet version is based on Tigr-M, I hope they will release it too.

My thoughts exactly. Tires - Miniarm, they can't be beaten.

Having built the Meng one I can say it is a very nice kit with some excellent features. There are a few niggles with it here and there as there are with any other kit. Having watched a detailed build log of the Xact scale Tiger it seems it is far more detailed in some areas, particularly the engine. Both seem to be very fine kits- with Meng being a quicker build and Xact being a longer and somewhat more detailed build.

Personally I don't think the Zvezda kit will disappoint- as others have mentioned the price will likely be excellent and it appears the kit could also be a starting point for some variants. If the quality Zvezda's T-90 is anything to go by then the Tiger should be an excellent kit- however, like the T-90, it could have issues here and there but what kit doesn't have a few problems here and there? I say good for Zvezda- always good to have more competition in the market and it would be great if they went on to do a few Tiger variants.
