Here's the OOP Verlinden 120MM British Para at Arnhem. Not real spectular at this point, but hopefully it will be at some point. I'm finding the gear fits poorly on the (especially the junction between the web gear/canteen/and entrenching tool, thus I will cover this trouble spot with a coiled rope)

Nate:
Looking really good. You sure are getting the knack for painting British camouflage. Sorry to hear the fit is giving you some trouble. One thing I noticed is that the cuff isn't recessed but flush. I don't know what the hands look like, but a nice little trick to add to the dimensionality of the figure is to drill out the cuffs a bit so they look more realistic. Just a suggestion.
Keep us posted. Looks like another winner.
So, are you going to need another display case since you are going like gangbusters lately?
Take care,
John

Thanks guys:
John, the cuffs are actually knit and molded to the hands so it will look quite different when done. I'm sorta wavering on this guy (OK you wanna know the truth... figure burnout). I may poke around a few things in the meantime, BUT I may only end up with one entry from RMG.

Danny:
I used a mix of colors I call "British Web", I think it's Tamiya XF-57 (Buff) mixed with Khaki (XF-49). I made it this summer so I don't really remember. I suspect there might be some white in there too.
Eric:
The knit cuffs of the uniform are molded to the hands, no drilling needed!!! thanks for the tip tho....

Joey:
Take a look at the home page in the article section, there's a step-by-step account of painting a Dennison smock. Give me a yell if you need more help.!!

After 5 days of being bogged down by Faust's German Sniper fire, I decided to quit being a weenie and suck it up and fix what I didn't like about this figure (the fit of the equipment and my paint job on the ruck sack). In a mere 10 min had improved the figure's equipment (i.e. the fit of the entrenching tool) and stolen a better canteen from another kit.
In other words, XXX Crops is rolling again on this guy and should be able to relieve him by the deadline.... (I hope)
