Hello,
as soon as a manufacturer is convinced that a model of the Hägglunds will generate enough sales it will become available. If not, then not. As usually....

Apparently Dragon thinks there is a market for a kit of every single Wehrmacht tank ever produced (not just every variant - every single vehicle), no matter how bizarre or not produced. No reason to think eventually somebody won't do a BV 206...

I have the Firing Line 1/35 resin/white metal/PE kit.
It would be great if someone made resin or 3D printed tracks for it.
Cheers,
Christophe

Yes that would be great if someone released new tracks for the kit in resin...
As the Firing line kit is very nice if you take away the photo etched tracks...
I can not understand why they did them in photo etched for the kit as the rest of the kit is not bad..

No, it's not only you. I have have put up the idea in several diff. post here. So far they fall on deaf ears.
The only good thing;
Once one company does, every other model company will copy. Then we'll have 100's of kits to chose from...

Yes it looks like here that it is not so many that want the BV206 in a model... So i just hope that no model company reads this tread as then it looks like they will not sell so many kits...
Yes you are right if one model company would do it all other companys will do the same... It would be better if they did do more different kits and not the same all the time...
So i think it will just be a dream to have this kit produced ...

For those of us who build in 1/48 scale, HLBS offer a BVS10 Viking, a BV202 and a Warthog in resin. They are aimed at the wargames market but they are pretty good as a basis for further detailing.
You're right though - a decent BV206 in either scale would be appreciated
Two links to a Warthog project I did a year or so back.

The manufacturer is the Honourable Lead Boiler Suit Company (HLBS) - www.hlbs.co.uk

Yes the BVS10 viking would be very nice too and the Warthog.. Thanks for showing your build here, it's a really nice Warthog you have done
How are the quality of the kits? Good? The bvs10 viking looks very fine that they have..

Hi Roger,
Thanks for the kind words about the Warthog. I aim to get a BVS10 soon.
The kits are basic by 'modelling' standards (they are meant for the rough and tumble of the gaming table, not the finesse of the competition table). the hull units are solid lumps of resin and the track units are single pieces (for the Warthog, the entire vehicle consisted of six major parts (two hull units and four tack units, with a variety of resin parts provided for the smaller details. Unlike a lot of wargaming vehicles by other manufacturers, the HLBS modern British vehicles are true 1/48 scale rather than 28mm or 1/56.
That suits me because I love to spend the time adding and refining the detail to make the basic vehicles into something that looks a lot better.
Accurate Armour they are not, but as a basis for a detailing project they have great potential.
Regards,
John

Right,
a solution could be photoshopping a balkenkreuz over a BV206 and sending Dragon some pcitures

Sounds as if they're working toward a miniatures version of "IT", the man-to-man boardgame of WWII, which came in the handy 'boxcar' edition for storing all of the records necessary to track each soldier and vehicle. In the review I read (the April issue of a wargaming magazine back in the early 70s), the reviewers all agreed that their record cards accurately reflected their service in the war, representing a painstaking level of research, but concluded that the amount of record-keeping would make the game unplayable (this was before the ready availability of computers to manage the records).

I would love to see this vehicle kitted... but you're asking the wrong people and in the wrong place.
Now, I don't want to start any arguments.. but I've said this before.. if you guys could get over your FB phobia, you can get in touch directly with all these new manufacturers, like Takom and Tiger-Model and others, and bombard them with messages, requests, pics and whatever... I believe that's how Takom thought about doing the M113.. because so many guys, me included, kept bothering them about it
Again, not trying to start anything about FB.. just my personal opinion that a lot of you guys are missing a lot but not using it
Here's hoping we see a kit of the BV 206 while I'm still able to build models
