Hi all,
I bought some Master's Touch oil paints to do filters and such on my models. For thinner I bought low odor thinner from Winsor and Newton and when I try to mix the two the thinner actually "beads off" the oil paint! I am very confused by this as it clearly says oil color thinner on the label. Does low odor thinner not work due to some component being taken out? Thanks.

Have you mistakenly used their Acrylic paint ( or perhaps its a mislableled batch)

You definitely bought acrylic paints. I made the same mistake.

Try mixing some if the paint with water and see what happens. That'll tell you weather or not you have acrylic paint.

Thanks for the help. They are indeed oil paints as indicated by label and they definitely smell and feel like oil. I noticed on my thinner in very small print it says "water soluble oil paint thinner" Anyways, bought new thinner and now everything works.
Thanks for the help.
