To be honest, I'm a bit underwhelmed now that I've seen this. I'm spoiled and was hoping for a bit more from this kit.

It's classic, idiomatic, Tamiya. What led you to think it would be different?

I took a trip down to the local shop and the owner is doing this video. I had a close look at the model and decided I would get 2 kits when it hits the store.
Typical Tamiya, as stated, good plastic and well fitting, and it looked very nice. I didn't have any reference with me, so not sure if there are any issues. I am looking forward to getting one.

Looks good to me. I have not heard too many good things about existing M10 kits so why not be happy about this? Excuse me for being a novice, but what is missing that would make this kit better in your opinion? Honest question. Knowing what would make it better would be interesting to me Because I will learn what to look for in an "overwhelming" kit😀

I've been whining for a new (and better) M10 for years now. I was hoping Dragon or Taska/Asuka would make one, as they have a long line of M4's. Sometimes you get what you want, but it's not what you expect. I shall have to be satisfied with Tamiya's, but I will wait for an accuracy review.
