Arrived yesterday, looks really nice, here you see how it looks like new and when i have stretched it like they say you shall do.. I dont know what it's made of, it's very thin.. I have not tried it yet more then stretched it but it looks very good in my opinion... Much better then the afv club net and the echelon decals nets..
So get one, they was quite cheap and the size are 15x22

Just saw this and boy that net does look pretty cool. Very realistic look compare to what's in the market.

Any chance we can see it in relation to a 1/35 figure?
I have a feeling the actual scale of the camouflage net is larger than 1/35.
Seeing a figure with the scalloped parts of the net will give a good feeling as to the scale of the net.

That would be 15x22 centimeters. Just in case our American friends are wondering.
6 x 9 inches roughly.

If someone's interested - DEF Model sets:
1. DEF MODEL - DM35068 - Modern Camouplage nets w/ PE net suppport set (Green)

2. DEF MODEL - DM35069 - Modern Camouplage nets w/ PE net suppport set (Tan)

Both has Tetra Model's net and also resin covers and PE tripods of poles (poles are to make from plastic rods).

There are camouflage nets from DEF Model too. The deign of them is very similar. The pattern looks the same than the MCS Barracuda.
I supposed it is possible to use it to replicate the MCS Barracuda. Need a lot of patience to cut parts of net. And glue it on a first pregnant layer.

In my educated opinion of having loved and hated real camouflage nets while working on AFVs the size of the pattern is too big for 1/35. It is more like 1/25 or even 1/16.
Your choice, your wallet.

Hi
That looks pretty good. I've got the Akerbuza & the AFV Club decal. Re the size of the cuts, I measured a US Woodland net a few years ago, there were 2 different cut sizes (at the top of the U)- 100mm & 45mm - in 1/16th these become 6.25mm & 2.81mm.
The problem I have with most of the nets so far produced - they're too uniform, with all the cuts in the same direction. It looks ok folded, but deployed - it just looks wrong.
I do like the larger size - 22cm X 15cm, the Akerbuza is only 80mm X 150mm, AFV club is 210mm X 297mm, but overly fragile. Licmas produce a 1/16th scale net 32cm X 32cm - stretchs to 48cm X 32 cm, but is again too uniform.

It'd be interesting to see a 1/16 figure alongside.

I was interested in getting a set of the Akerbuza netting but their website never listed it as available again. Where were you able to purchase the Akerbuza netting?

I have the Eduard PE sheet and it is pretty good. However the pattern is not very realistic but when it is folded, it looks nice.

Hi Jeff
Re the Akerbuza nets - I got mine from A-Z Models (Ukraine) - though on checking that was Feb 2013.
Hi Greg
Think you could be right about the size of the cuts, haven't had my hands on it, so haven't measured it.
