I'm painting the tracks of my Tasca firefly by hand and it is a pain. Does anyone know if I could use tremclad high performance rust enamel flat black paint? Or will this destroy the tracks? I know some paints will eat through the vinyl tracks

Is it possible to test the paint on a piece of runner (sprue) that the tracks were molded onto? That will at allow you to test short term compatibility.

Unfortunately the specific kit in question comes only with the four lengths of track required in a bag, so no extra Sprue

Are the Tasca/Asuka tracks black or light brown?
Asuka changed their track material a few years ago.
I have used Krylon ultra flat on the black tracks with no issues. I let it dry for the whole week suggested on the can.
I used the most gentle acrylic I could find on the brown tracks -- Golden acrylic -- also with no issues.
Cheers
