Not 1/35, but still nice! Maybe we can get the smaller brother in the future

That's what I'm hoping for as well. Although they still haven't produced their Ford F-350 kit in 1/35...

Well, they did do an F-350 in 1/35 scale... maybe not the exact same one they did in 1/24 scale before, but it'll do

To me It's quite clear...
the marketing Department should ...
take the 1/35th pickup that sold the most...
offer it in 1/24th....
see if it sells more copies than 1/35th
if it does not, they must realize that the 1/35th scale is associated with their brand.... ( more than any 1/24 issue )
and they should focus upon the brand and the scale that they ,,,are Already successful in.
As a tank modeler ...I am focused on that gestalt.
If I stray...it is purely personal like owning and building a copy of Revell/Monogram Boot Hill Express.
hehehe

I thought I remembered their F-350 released in 1/35 scale so I checked Meng's page before posting. No mention of the kit in Meng's Velociraptor series. Oh well.
Thanks for setting me straight, Hisham.

Whereas there are a plethora of 1/35 HMMVs for armor guys there was not a good one in 1/24 for car builders.

In a word: fantastic. Not only because it's an icon and it get the "meng" treatment but because this (maybe) signals their expansion to a much needed area of modeling - cars, which suffers from low selection and poor quality.

Hi All,
The F350 is available but not on thier website: Review Here
I am sure that we will see another 1/35 at a later date. But 1/24 will be welcomed for some.

Me, I'd love to see a modern Suburban in 1/35. Couple of those in convoy in Iraq would rock.

I personally welcome this kit. I hope they do a 1/35 version as well, but how about military hummers in this scale?

This is great! I'd like to see some Meng-quality 1/24th scale figures as well. The quality of figures in this scale, especially for car modelers, is usually on the lower side, with some exceptions.

I'm already picturing some kind of a fire dept search and rescue vehicle. I've already got the lightbar, just need the hummer.

When the 1/24 F-350 came out I picked one up and built it. It was a beautiful kit. That said.. I spoke to a whole bunch of car modelers that I know, that work consistently in 1/24-1/25 scale and they flatty refused to buy the Meng kit.. regardless of the quality. Even though it's miles ahead of the average car kit from AMT, Revell or whoever.. It's also 3 times the price which was the only reason most of them said they'd never buy it.
Basically.. The want Meng quality at Revell prices.... Sorry car dudes.

Presently, it is easier to make a 1/24 fire rescue or police Hummer than a 1/35 one since there are 1/24 lightbars and EMS decals available. With the MENG roof rack and spotlight additions, one could opt to make a really cool EMS Hummer or even a fire brush Hummer.

I wonder if they'll do a 2/4 door non "wagon" version or "conversion set" to go with the other acc'y set??
