I wonder what is the function of those square boxes fitted on the exterior of Chinook ? Those boxes are not included in the Trumpeter kit.

They look like flare launchers to counter IR missiles

OK thank you very much now I now what is it. I have to make scratchbuilts of them. Several CH47D pics show four boxes on both sides.

I think that the Chaff/Flare dispensers are available as AM parts. I think a company called "Cobra Company" did or does some upgrade sets the Trumpeter Chinook kit.

Chaff and flare dispensers have not a very complicated shape so I will make them myself. Cobra sets have a lot of parts useless in my case.
