Where I can find actual photos from the assault on Point Du Hoc?Im wanting to do a dio of the Rangers on it but I cant find a single pic from the actual battle.

You should contact demodelbouwer (I'm not sure about the exact spelling...). He's reproducing such a dio right now.

That's because there are no pics of the actual battle. IIRC, there was a combat cameraman with the Rangers, but his equipment was lost during the landing. Similarly, there are few photos of Omaha Beach during the landings because the officer that was taking a duffel bag full of exposed film back out to sea to be processed, dropped the bag into the sea when he was boarding an LCI.
There are, however, lots of photos of Point du Hoc after the battle, as well as photos of the Rangers training.

I have access to some photos, mostly just after the initial assault. They are in two publications by the Chief of Military History, US Army. I can photo copy,scan and e-mail.

I would truely appreciate that Ranger74.My email is [email protected]. Oh and Hollow,I didnt know about that particular story about Point Du Hoc and the Omaha photographers,but I just thought there are so little photos of Omaha was because everyone was just too busy trying to find cover.Thx for the info though.
