Hi Everyone,
Getting ready to do my first dot filter with oils. When I do the road wheels, are my brush strokes verticle? Round and round? Or from the center of the wheel outwards?

Is there anything else different frim how the rest of the vehicle is done?

Thanks,

Gaz

Hi Gaz,

Although road wheels are vertical, I'd treat them as if it were a horizontal surface, thus I go for either circular or stippling motions of the brush.

Cheers,

Tat

Tat,
Thank you for the helpful response! Now that I have the dot filter done, now I can move on to streaking, then a pin wash, and finally tools!

I appreciate it!

Thanks, Tat...
Though I think I may have screwed up. I think I should have done the oil dot filter AFTER I did the water-based washes.

Some spots got a little ugly. I'll have to chalk it up to experience, I guess.
