Finished this fellow a while ago, figured it was past time I shared some pictures.
Difficult build due to the poor instructions and warped resin parts, but overall I am happy with the finished product.

I am missing the firing cables from the recoil-less rifles due to the poor instructions giving no indication of where they went, and my reference searches so far haven't turned up anything helpful.

Finished off with some aftermarket figures and ammunition crates, as well as a sculpey sandbag wall. Opened up the commanders hatch and cut off his legs so I could pose him on board.
The base is foam core covered in acrylic artists medium tinted with plaster/concrete colourant from the local hardware store.
Weathering is done with a mix of pastels, and Lifecolor tensocrom sets.

I wouldn't mind doing another Ontos but with a full interior. Something not really possible with this kit due to the very thick resin hull parts.

very nice build! One thing in your dio to remember is that the 106mm recoilless rifle has a 100 foot back blast. Your closer than forty feet, and your toast! Sixty feet will hurt you pretty good. I got caught in the back blast at about eighty feet, and thought I was dead!

Nice dio! I was watching some Vietnam footage on the history channel a few weeks ago showing an Ontos crew in action loading their tubes.

Cheers,

Yeah, that's why I would have preferred to show the rear hatch open, and the crew restocking.

There is an interior kit available but it's for the Academy Ontos, and trying to get it to fit this would have have been easier to scratch build a new hull from plastic sheet than trying to thin out the resin. It was hard enough just opening up the commanders hatch.

With what I had available I tried to make it look like the crew was taking a break while the commander monitors the radio or something.
