Quick question to your Swedish members. Could the upcoming Rosomak by IBG converted into a PatGB 360 by some scratch-building and addin the Kongsberg Protector? Are there enough references floating on the net?
Thanks

I'm not sure but is that the same veichle as the Patgb 360 is made by Patria in Finland... Ihave not any close up photos of the 360 as it's quite new and the first time i saw it at my close tank regemente (P4) was last autumn... Only took some photos from distance so nothing usefull in this case...So i can not say if it's the same veichle as is not the Rosomak Polisch? (Saw now that it was made in Poland under license from Patria so maybe it is the same veichle..sorry) But it would be nice if it's possible

They are the "same" vehicle to a certain degree, then there are differences due to Poland and Sweden having slightly different requirements. With access to plenty of images or maybe drawings it would be possible to do a conversion.
The Swedish version:
The Polish Rosomak
A real rosomak:
Järv in Swedish, Vielfraß in German and Wolverine in English

As long as the hull structure is the same.. I think the big stowage box and the trim vane(?) could be scratchbuild and the M153 CROWS is already available. Look forward for the first walkaround. I guess the color is Mjörkgroen?
Thanks guys!

The Rosomak is a licence-built Patria AMV, so conversion to any other AMV variant should be perfectly feasible. Patria pitched a lower-spec AMV for the Polish APC requirement and part of the deal was licence production in Poland. A further deal was subsequently done to permit marketing of the lower-spec Rosomak variants to some customers. Patria and Rosomak decide between them who will front the bid and they do not compete with each other. GD have the same no-competition rule with Mowag and Steyr about Piranha and Pandur.
The changes between Rosomak and AMV are mostly related to electronic and other internal systems where Poland did not want top-spec capability.
I am surprised that none of the after-market people have yet cottoned-on to the AMV conversion potential of the Rosomak kits. There are 7 current users, a couple more candidates and a range of variants.

After checking my references, there is probably some more work involved. The PATGB 360 looks being longer and has a different wheelbase. I met a representative of Patria some years ago, maybe I should ask her for assistance?

Apologies - I forgot about the extended wheelbase configuration. Patria have pitched that for a couple of customers, including a version with the BMP-3 turret aimed at the Gulf states. It has a 40cm extension between the 2nd and 3rd roadwheels and very noticeably flat-bottomed stowage boxes between those wheels. That's the main visual clue. The engine deck central portion is raised on the PatGB 360, and it has the RWS and roof box. I presume the roof hatch arrangement is therefore unique.
However, the structural changes are all essentially flat plates so extending the kit hull and engine cover, revising the roof and making the new roof and wheel arch stowage boxes should be perfectly feasible with care. Rosomak don't offer the LWB comfiguration so IBG are very unlikely to do it while they remain wedded to the Rosomak. I still think that IBG would be daft not to re-tool AMV variants. There are far more of them than Rosomak variants. The new longer hull would be an expensive change.
