i just built my first tamiya kit the german 20mm flakvierling 38, problem is i dunno if i should hand paint it or can spray paint it with the color german grey.
i prefer the color german grey cause i don't want any other color to my flak that would look like plain plastic.
any suggestions i can try?

No blue please. It was grey, and a very dark one. That's all.

so spray paint would be the best, i seen videos before they spray paint they use primers first. is it also necessary to spray primer or just use the spray paint directly

Foremost, welcome to Armorama Janned! Do spray primer on as it gives you a good, even surface and better adhesion for your succeeding coats. It also helps you see any surface marks / imperfections that may need correction. You may go for the Tamiya rattle cans; alternatively you may check the DIY shops like Ace Hardware -- cheaper as you get a bigger can for about the same price as Tamiya's. Good luck on your project. Cheers, Tat
