The upcoming release of Tamiya's M10 has inspired me to ask a couple questions:
I've seen the M10 tank destroyer's siren in two positions.
1. On the upper left of the transmission cover tucked next to the fender
2. On the left side of the glacis next to the headlight
Position 1 evidently came first, since I've seen pictures of M10s in North Africa with it. There is also rather nice picture of an M10 on the production line in March 1943 with the siren in position 1.
Does anyone know the exact month during which the siren switched positions?
Also, I have the number of M10s and M10A1s produced during each month, but no contract, serial or registration numbers. Does anyone have a resource which lists these?
