Hi all,

I was wondering if the Wiesel MK20a1(AFV 35042) did service in afghanistan or was it the newer version the AFV Club Wiesel MK20A1/A3(AFV 35275).As i have the MK20a1 and really like to build it in a afghanistan version, thanks in advance.

Regards.

Waffenträger Wiesel Mk20 A1 were among the first vehicle deployed in Afghanistan. Vehicles remained in European camo colors and had ISAF lettering. In some cases, the black part of the pattern was oversprayed/painted in tan color.

First of all AF35042 is not Wiesel, it is M42A1 Duster.

Old Wiesel Mk20 kit was AF35S03. TOW Wiesel kit was AF35014.

All Wiesels in Afghanistan used newer type Diehl tracks. Such tracks are only included in 35265 (TOW) and 35275 (Mk20) kits. Older AF35S03 and AF35014 kits only include early rubber tracks - no longer used for many years now.

Hi Guys,

Is there any difference between the old and the new Mk20 kits other than the tracks? I have the old kit + Djiti tracks.

Thanks,

Adam

I hope you are joking.

If not ISAF - NATO Mission in A'stan.

Are you serious?

Well, Germany never "invaded" Afghanistan, but participated in ISAF as early as February 2002.
