Hi All,
Finishing up a kit - Tamiya 1/35 Russian T-62-A and I'm looking to create an engine soot effect coming out of the exhaust port.
I'm using a black pigment to create the effect but it doesn't seem to be properly adhering. I want to keep the dust soot effect.
Any suggestions on application?
Thanks!

Are you applying it over a matt surface? If not, give it a coat of matt varnish.

In the Tank Art series books, Michael uses Tamiya thinner X-20 as a glue. I have used it with good success. Lay down the pigment, a drop of thinner at a time to control the spread. Shouldn't need more then two drops for that application. Dirt on the hull would need more.

Thanks all! I tried the Thinner technique and I am happy with the result!
