I am researching Kampfgruppe Pieper for an article. I came across a document that list the various elements. Each element (e.g. II/1 SS Panzer Regiment) has a card that displays the vehicle (Pkzfw IV) in the center of the square, then starting from the top left corner the number: 14 then the letter "A" then 8 in the top right corner, the bottom has an 8 in each corner. Outside the box there is the designation "x 6." I take this to mean there were six elements with Pkzfw IV's.
I would appreciate any assistance in understanding the numerical system
Many thanks

I think you're talking about a game counter from an old Avalon Hill boardgame. If you google Avalon Hill Boardgame counter, you should find more information. The 'A' stands for armor and deals with how the main weapon affects enemy counters.
The other numbers deal with stuff like attack and defence values.
Best of luck,

Sounds like a unit counter for the old Avalon Hill PanzerBlitz / PanzerLeader.
