So I noticed the US army added a bore evacuataors to the M26's gun during the Korean War, was this the first use of the attachment on a gun or were there earlier uses?

I did come across an image in the past from a museum somewhere in Germany of what is credited as beng a WWII version sporting a bore evacuator. Cant remeber for the life of me where- Sorry.

The M3A1 was the first American gun to use one. I believe the British developed it but may not have mounted it on a production gun first.
